New Website Exhibited by St. Matthew’s

November 02, 2009

St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church has recently launched a new website, www.stm-umc.org.  The website, built by Jackson-based U.S. NetworX, includes a photo gallery, class schedules, an interactive map and a calendar that is updated weekly.

“The new website creates a whole new portal into life at St. Matthew’s.  We hope that those who are seeking a place to belong, engage spiritually, grow, and serve will find the site to be a resource that accurately describes and invites them to a life-changing experience of the love of Christ through the St. Matthew’s family of faith.” said David Carroll, Senior Pastor.

“U.S. NetworX worked with St. Matthew’s to build them a site that they could use to spread the word about not only church events, but also the wide variety of ministries that the church family is actively involved in.” said Kristen Fowler, of U.S. NetworX who is also a member of St. Matthew’s.  “No matter your age or ability, there is a place for you to serve at St. Matthew’s.”

“We understand that many people view church websites before visiting the church. We have recently upgraded our website to better reflect the St. Matthew's UMC ministries and the congregation. While it may be difficult to think of a church brand, part of the St. Matthew's brand is our warm and dynamic Bible-based congregation. The website is, simply, a reflection of the congregation.” said Scott Carpenter, chair of the St. Matthew’s Communications Committee.
